In 1995, Harry Morgan reprised his Dragnet role as Detective Bill Gannon on The Simpsons' Season 7 episode "Mother Simpson". During the show, he helped hunt down Homer's fugitive mom. Though Mona Simpson got away, Harry couldn' t escape the Curse of the Simpsons. Yet another youngster cut down in his prime at the age of 96.
