Patrick McGoohan

Out of respect for Mr. McGoohan, I am forgoing my usual sarcastic commentary:  

As a huge fan of The Prisoner, I am deeply saddened by Patrick McGoohan's passing.  He was a genius that was truly ahead of his time, and his work will live on forever.  The Prisoner redefined television by presenting an Orwellian scenario that, while a cautionary tale, ultimately reaffirmed the individual and forced the TV audience think.  His appearance on The Simpsons as Number 6 was classic, and he will be sorely missed.
