Dick Clark guest starred as himself on The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror X episode 'Life's a Glitch, Then You Die", where Homer dooms the world by forgeting to fix his computer for Y2K.  Needless to say, things ended badly for Dick both on the show and in real life.  In both cases, the Curse of The Simpsons completely destroyed the world's oldest teenager .  If it's any consolation though, both Homer's and Bart's heads exploded in that episode.
